Benedict Unaegbunam is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Group of the Firm. He is based in Lagos.
Ben has accumulated over 17 years extensive know-how regarding diverse areas of law such as taxation, employment, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions and security issues arising from project and infrastructure finance transactions. He was a key member of the team that advised the largest provider of mobile telephone services in South Africa in its bid to acquire 50+ 1 shares in a provider of GSM services in Nigeria. Ben is a highly knowledgeable and well-seasoned legal practitioner with experience in vital transactions such as conducting due diligence on behalf of a core investor in the on-going concessioning of the Lagos Ports and an ongoing $100millon investment in a Nigerian Agro-Allied Company.
Ben graduated from the University of Benin in 1996 with an LL.B Honours and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1998. He subsequently obtained an LLM from the University of Lagos in 2001.
